Ok some programs that are new to me but seem very useful for hacking on terminal based linux system
Ranger
A terminal file manager - bit like mc. Nice instant preview and file tree
vifm
Looks to be just as nice as ranger. Can also offer instant preview with :fileview * / tree % c Now, which one to use, ranger or vifm!
catfish
Too lazy to use find from the command line? Use catfish instead.
glances
A process manager, a python htop-replacement - it looks nicer than htop, but at double the cpu-use.
