On ketogenic diet

TODO: this article is in the middle of editing process. Ketogenic diet is great for managing blood sugar, in my experience. It has been studied to great extent in last couple of years. Here are some studies, and attempts to deduce meaning from them.

Ketogenic Diet: an Endocrinologist Perspective, Kuchkuntla et al, 2019a summary of available data on the effectiveness and durability of the ketogenic diet when compared to conventional interventions. Ketogenic dietary strategies may play a role in short-term improvement of important metabolic parameters with potential for long-term benefit. However, response may vary due to inter-individual ability to maintain long-term carbohydrate restriction.

Furthermore, we also reviewed evidence of carbohydrates restriction in both pathogenesis of type 1 diabetes, through gut microbiota modification, and treatment of type 1 diabetes

Advantages and Disadvantages of the Ketogenic Diet: A Review Article, Batch et al, 2020This literature review provides an evaluation of data on the benefits and risks associated with the chronic use of KD, including its metabolic, endocrinological, and cardiovascular effects.

The converse: avoid processed Ultra-processed diets cause excess calorie intake and weight gain: An inpatient randomized controlled trial of ad libitum food intake, Hall, et al, 2019 Limiting consumption of ultra-processed foods may be an effective strategy for obesity prevention and treatment.
